Our Story

Built on Hard Work,
Kept Running on Trust

Thompson Engine Rebuilders isn't a chain shop or a franchise. We're a local McAllen operation built on the idea that an engine deserves to be fixed right — not replaced at a markup.

Every build that rolls out of our bay has been inspected, tested, and treated like it's going into our own vehicle. That's the standard we set for ourselves, and it's the reason our neighbors keep sending us their trucks, cars, and everything in between.

Local

Right here in McAllen — no shipping engines across the state.

Honest

We tell you what you actually need, not what's most expensive.

Quality

OEM and premium aftermarket parts — never the cheapest option.

Fair

Transparent pricing with no surprise fees when you pick it up.

Why Thompson

What Makes Us
Different

Lots of shops claim to be reliable. Here's what actually sets us apart when your engine is on the bench.

We Explain It Plain

No jargon, no confusion. You'll know exactly what's wrong, what we're doing about it, and what it's going to cost.

We Don't Rush It

A rushed rebuild is just a delayed failure. We take the time to get it right the first time — every time.

We Stand Behind Every Build

Our warranty isn't a piece of paper you hope you never need. It's a promise that if something goes wrong, we'll make it right.

We're Your Neighbor

We're not a call center. You'll talk to the people who actually work on your engine — the same faces every time you pull in.
